1v1, 2 v 2

General Game Play Rules:

All Marches

  • Match Length: All Matches will be Best of 3 Games
  • Warm-up: No warm-up or practice Games are permitted once the Match’s first Game has begun. If a Match is played before the scheduled time, it will not be considered a warm-up and will count as the official results
  • Delays: Teams may not delay the start of a Match beyond its scheduled start time, without the approval of a Tournament Official. Teams may delay a Match between Games for up to five minutes. Teams can request that a Tournament Official enforce this five minute time limit. After five minutes of a Tournament Official enforced delay, if the delaying Team does not have the minimum required Players, they will Forfeit the Match
  • Minimum Required Players: Teams may only be short handed by one player in order to start a Search and Destroy Game. A Team will Forfeit the Match if they are missing more than one player than the match specifies by 15 minutes after a Match’s default start time (Grace Period). Teams will be forced to start a Game at the end of a Grace Period
  • Disconnections: Search and Destroy Games must be restarted if a Player disconnects in the first 30 seconds and before the first kill. If a Player disconnects from a Search and Destroy Game after the first 30 seconds or after the first kill, the Game must continue and the Player may rejoin the Game
  • Normal Boundaries: Players who move their Character outside of the normal boundaries of a Map may Forfeit the Game. Moving outside of the normal boundaries of a Map includes but is not limited to part of the Character’s body passing through what should be a non-permeable surface or object, and moving into any area from which your Character registers shots on an opponent who is not able to register shots on your Character
  • Online Status: It is recommended that players appear ‘Offline’ while playing their tournament match to help avoid players from joining into a tournament game
  • Outside Players/Spectators: After a Custom Game has been created, only eligible Players on the two Teams and Staff members may be invited/join. If an ineligible Player joins a Game, the Game must be ended if the player affects the game and/or doesn’t leave within 30 seconds of joining. If a Player is found to have invited an ineligible Player to a Game, they will Forfeit the Gam

  • Sudden Death with tied percentage/stock will result in a 1 stock/3 minutes playoff match.
  • Stalling is banned: The act of stalling is intentionally making the game unplayable. Stalling tactics include but are not limited to becoming invisible, continuing infinites, chain grabs, or uninterruptible moves past 300%, and reaching a position that your opponent can never reach you. Any action that can prevent the game from continuing (i.e., pausing, freeze glitches, disappearing characters, game reset, etc.) will result in a forfeit of that match for the player that initiated the action. You are responsible for knowing your own character, and must be wary about accidentally triggering one of these effects

  • Pause setting should be off. However, if they are not, pausing is only legal while either player remains upon their OWN respawn platform, and only for the purpose of summoning a tournament official or in the case of a controller malfunction. Then in secret each player will tell their character selections. After all players do, the tournament official will announce the characters being used for the first game of a match.
  • Stage Clause: A player/team may not pick any stage they previously won on during the set.

  •  Counterpicks: During the stage ban phase, the player/team who won the previous game may ban 2 stages from either the Starter or Counterpick lists. The loser of the previous game will then select a stage. Ouya

We created the OUYA because we love playing and making games for the TV and we wanted to bring the most creative, innovative and engaging games back to the living room. Now any developer—big or small, experienced or new can easily build games for the big screen all in 1080p

Today there are 954 games and counting (seriously, that’s the counter right there). They’re ready to play and most are free to try. But why limit these great games to just one system, even if that system is ours! Freedom – it’s been one of our die hard beliefs from day one, so we’re super excited to announce OUYA Everywhere. We’re embarking on a new way to bring these killer games to everyone, wherever they play. Subscribe to our blog to get all the info.

With an OUYA anyone can make a game because every OUYA console is a dev kit. No need to purchase a license or an expensive SDK. It’s built on Android and supports a ton of engines. Go ahead and create the next big title in your bedroom – just like the good old days! Check out the develop section to get started.

All this 1080p goodness isn’t just for gaming. OUYA brings some of your favorite apps to the big screen so that you can stream shows, movies, and music directly into your living room.

OUYA is the first totally open video game console, we welcome you to unscrew it and have a look around. Whether you use WiFi or Ethernet or if you like to download games or stream movies, you can do it all in 1080P HD.  Check out the $99 and $129 versions of the console and controller in our Store
